Butcher Boy Cafe has been a regular stop anytime I am in the Sherrills Ford / Mooresville NC area. Here you will find some of the best country cooking you could ask for! From breakfast to dinner Butcher Boy Cafe will not disappoint. As a rule I personally choose the buffet at lunch. Menu items are excellent as well but the selection on the Buffet is always good. Vegetables are seasoned country farmhouse style. Depending of the day of the week you go you may find spaghetti, chicken wings, baked chicken, pulled BBQ, steak and gravy, BBQ ribs, chicken pot pie, pork chops, fried chicken, or whatever is on Butcher Boy’s mind for the day. I would be remiss to fail to mention the ‘Butcher Girls’ who are the heart of the cafe. Marcy, Heather, Tammy, Kelly, Tonya, and a host of others will give you a pat on the back, keep you laughing, and your glass of tea full! Leave room for dessert! You will always find a homemade cobbler with available soft serve ice cream. My favorite is the Banana Pudding which is an occasional homemade special treat. Try this place. You won’t be disappointed.
This is my favorite place an I live in Charlotte an will drive there for crab legs on Friday or any day of the week buffet, Cindy & the ladies are all so sweet an make sure you have all you need & the cook is sweet is pie an boy can she make a mean blackeyed pea!!
Our family stopped in here to have some lunch while traveling hoping that the cafe would have good, wholesome food and it didn't disappoint. We were very pleased with the service and the quality of the food. They had a good-looking buffet, but we chose to order from the menu. The food tasted really good, and the portions were large, and the prices were good as well. The fried okra tasted like fresh okra; excellent. Nothing but good things to say about the Butcher Boy Cafe..........keep up the great work.
A neclectic restaurant showing its history and family charm boasting Southern style home cooking. Waited for the lunch buffet to be setup and was not disappointed. It brought back memories of sunday dinner after church. Apple dumplings, yams, greens, salad bar. Thank you.
This is probably the best breakfast deal in a hundred mile radius. All you can eat breakfast for under 11 bucks. A meal for two with coffee will not exceed 25 dollars including tip. Buffet has it all, bacon, sausage links, sausage patties,grits,cheese grits,buttered rice,chip beef gravy,eggs,patotoas pancakes,French toast,liver mush,fruit,soft serve ice cream, danishes, and assorted pastries. If you're in town, try this place!
Food was great. Just an American food dive. Nothing special on the menu, but was prepared well. Interior was dated but functional. Our service was not the best, she wasn’t exceptionally warm & pleasant. Maybe she wasn’t having a great day. Otherwise a good value and the visit was a good one. One thing to note, if you’ve never been there before it’s easy to miss the sign. See my photos.
Outstanding Buffet and Restaurant. Excellent Seafood (fried) Buffet on Friday nights with also having Crab legs. Staff has remained loyal for many, many years and lots of family works and runs the Restaurant. Family atmosphere - warm and welcoming. Their fried chicken is outstanding!!! Everything we had was delicious. Drove an hour to this, was worth it.
Great little place with a good lunch buffet. I had Salisbury steak, green beans, mashed potatoes, salmon patties, chicken pie, chicken wings and cherry cobbler. All were good and would definitely go back.
What a treasure of a find , wow man this is true country eating for breakfast, and to make it pure golden for me , they have chipped beef gravy OMG how amazingly great this food is . 12.99 adults all you can eat breakfast and asked for Heather she's funny and nice and sweet and was able to help us with questions. Stop by here and check this place out , they also serve a lunch and dinner buffet as well and yes they have menus to order from as well .
